Stem Cell Therapy in Ensenada

is apparently the newest thing since sliced bread-many of our neighbors from Rosarito are flocking down to get in on this, and have not heard one negative thing. Any thoughts on this?

In Ensenada? The genetic engineering hub of the free world? A fool and his money...

Woooosh, are you speaking from personal experience or passing on an opinion on something you know nothing about?

You mean Ensenada IS the engineering hub of the world? And here I though he was joking.

And if you would even remotely consider the home of Sanatorio del Carmen, where portable x-ray machines are confused for C/T Scans and/or MRIs for Stem Cell therapy ... well, what Whoooosh said!

The latter. Just a knee-jerk reaction to there possibly being an advanced facility there. Having what done exactly? Perhaps this facility is the same cutting-edge hospital that treated BajaGringo? Were there secret clinical trials using stems cell (for whatever purpose this is supposed to be for) that no one knew about? So what are they flocking for?

Woooosh has absolutely no idea. Unlike you, an old Baja veteran who has been down here all of 14 months.

There wasn't any info or a link attached- so who could know?

Sanatorio del Carmen has a CT machine and was used to take several scans of my head / jaw while I was there. They do not have an MRI unit - the only confusion there was here on the forum. According to my U.S. doc the CT scan is the preferred technology for scanning head trauma cases...

They've been working on the stem cell at Anthony's for years now. With great success, I might add.
Why all the cynicism?

Dr. Hino is a pioneer with Stem Cell treatments and we are very thankful that the FDA did not allow him to continue his research in Beverly Hills, CA, so he came to our beloved México.

Mengano, just asked because I am curious-seems to me if in fact they do work, they would not work for insurance companies in the states. Probably not docs either, because they are not legal to use-yet. And there are several avenues to procure stem cells, including using your own. If you know a reason scientifically that this is a stupid avenue to pursue, please tell me. Thank you

Not stupid idea at all, just an unlikely location for advanced treatment. People who have lived in Rosarito for a while know there have been several places for holistic treatment and cancer cures. None of them have ever been legit.

Coretta Scott King died in one of these local facilities a few years ago. That's why I am sensitive to claims from any clinics in the area. The Judge Judy rule prevails: " If it doesn't make sense, it probably isn't true."

Death
Coretta Scott King died in the late evening of January 30, 2006,[17] at a rehabilitation center in Rosarito Beach, Mexico, In the Oasis Hospital where she was undergoing holistic therapy for her stroke and advanced stage ovarian cancer. The main cause of her death is believed to be respiratory failure due to complications from ovarian cancer.[18] The clinic at which she died was called the Hospital Santa Monica, but was licensed as Clinica Santo Tomas. Newspaper reports indicated that it was not legally licensed to "perform surgery, take X-rays, perform laboratory work or run an internal pharmacy, all of which it was doing." It was also founded, owned, and operated by San Diego resident and highly controversial alternative medicine figure Kurt Donsbach.[19][20] Days after Mrs. King's death, the Baja California, Mexico, state medical commissioner, Dr. Francisco Vera, shut down the clinic.[21]

Steve McQueen went to Rosarito and was treated with Laetrile. It didn't work, but if you're fighting terminal cancer and you have the money, what do you have to lose? The people that offer these treatments are preying on the patient's desperation and give them and their families false hope while taking their money.
