POCO CIELO in B.C.
this morning we were on our way north from ensenada and looking for a good breakfast option so I remembered I had read about Poco Cielo here
somewhere. we stopped by and looked around - it was 7:30 and they only opened at 8, so we didnt eat BUT
it looks like a beautiful place to stay overnight ... the garden ...the buildings .....the tiling and the ocean view are awesome. unfotunately I
lost my camera and did not have a chance to buy a new one yet - so no photos ....
rates start at only $50 and work their way up. Next time we are in the area, we shall try it out for sure. maybe someone has photos to post ??? it
is so beautiful there !!

If you want some photos, I have an entire album of this place.
The Polynesian room is magnificent! Food is better than average.
Breakfast order the Poco Cielo omelet...plenty for two.

It can be difficult to find sometimes as the designers had it built to blend in with the environment.

thanks for those photos ... they do it justice. gorgeous location. anyone have photos of inside the rooms ? since we were too early, no one was there

I stayed in El Capitan in February. This ain't five star luxury. It's Baja rustic with focus on the outdoor view. Clean sheets, hot shower, wifi
internet, nearby beverage service and competitive value are my hotel needs.
Got them all and a whole lot more at Poco Cielo.

how did you get to the beach? is there a ramp at la fonda? i don't remember seeing it.

The only way down to the beach, by driving, is through the K58 campground.
Just tell the gate guard that you want to inspect the camping facility and they'll let you in at no charge, Woody.

what a beautiful ocean view .... this is such a gem of a place ... if I hadn't read about it here I would never have thought to stop by and check it
out.
the rock wall shower with tub is muy beautiful too. I had never seen that, me gusta !!

I used to camp often at K-58 and we would always walk over to have dinner and drinks there. Great atmosphere with a fantastic view!

A few years ago, Pedro's Palapa was open right next to the camping sites, but hard times forced it to close.
The also had decent food and lots of music.

Do they allow pets...I think I remember looking at the site last year and it was mentioned. If the weather EVER IMPROVES here I plan to visit there.
