mining the best deal via Volaris

how do you dig thru the volaris site to find the best deals? is it better to try to book midweek 3 months out? i can get +/-$230rt each tj to sjdc for mid august right now.

i think i'd rather go to la paz, but i'd like to know how all you all's (the plural of "you all") have scored those $150rt tickets. granted, $80 isn't a deal breaker, but the cheap bastard in me wants to know.

we are looking for some solid fishing before the october run to the mid coast for the tuna, assuming they show. and the mainland is always an option.....

we want to go to the hot southern regions, grab a day or two of fishing where the fish are gonna be thick. then-

as for the tuna in the central region we are still waiting for them to show. fall is the yearly 2 week vacation. if the tuna don't show we go surfing farther upstream.....

Woddy-- Just keep checking their web site. And check everyday. I went to book a trip to Cabo and got lucky-- $204 round trip (from TJ). But you never know when these promotions will occur. I told my cousin about it and she said she couldn`t get the rate I got. She missed the big banner saying 50% off!! So just get on it and go for any promotions.

Yes - you really have to check the website everyday for promotional deals. On the deals I've seen there is a promotional coupon code number that you have to type in in the space provided in order for the deal to take effect. If you don't do that, the promotional price won't be applied. The code number has always been pretty obvious right on the home page of their website. Good luck - hope you can find a great deal!

Good question, I believe I remember a post saying
an email will be sent to you, I searched the Volaris
site but didn't come up with anything, not that it is
not there though. There is a facebook, etc. listed,
something I don't fathom. Their last sale 5 weeks
back or so, their 6th Anniversery I think it was
60%-70% off

Sign up on the volaris website.
The last deal was $99 each way to usa to mex next feb.

When the deals pop up, they go quick>

Last fall 76$ r/t tj to la paz, a day later and my friend was $130.00
during the same promotion.

Their last sale 5 weeks
back or so, their 6th Anniversery I think it was
60%-70% off

I went for $126 in april on that promotion,
but I had $120 dollars in luggage charges.
Pay for the upgrade on way home if you are fishing.
They have an additional wt. charge of 9 dollars for 9 kilos when you buy the ticket vs. 9 dollars per kilo at check in.
There is also an airport tax and 11 to 1 exchange rate for your luggage overage.

Also sportmans packages for oversized items like kite boards or fishing poles.

They are acting more like the other airlines.

This enforcement was a surprise to a lot of people checking in.
Most had to scramble around unpacking and shifting loads on the floor of the terminal. Weigh your bags.

Flying out of TJ is super easy.

Yes, but walking across the boarder is getting old and Parking went up.

Next time I am thinking about going thru Otay and parking at the airport.
That would make it real easy and comfortable on the way out.

Southwest Airline is now selling the seats on flights to Cabo and beyond, flying out of John Wayne airport in Orange County.

Why John Wayne Airport?

There is a very large Latino population nearby. (unofficially)

We booked our Guadalajara trip back in January via Volaris for $150 roundtrip. Seems like they had a deal running out of TJ to go anywhere they fly in Mex for $150. Wish I had more info for ya Woody. Just keep checking Volaris website daily.

Hey, Bob did you actually go to Georgia on purpose? :o....:O

I spent a lifetime there once from 1963 to 1965 when my Dad was stationed at the Marine base in Albany. Nice place if you like 7 months of rain, 5 months of sweltering heat & humidity. Damn mosquitos were big as sea gulls. Not to mention swarms of nats constantly around your face buzzin' around your ears and up your nose, Oh yeah, chiggers and cotton mouth snakes out "yonder" in the back yard. Had to join the Navy to get myself back to San Diego....:O..:O

Hey Woody,

My tip is to look at the Volaris website daily.
I have been flying to the Mainland and taking the bus to the coast.
I did score 159 RT TJ to Uruapan in January
I have not seen any great deals lately, but I have not been looking daily.
Good luck, and I hope to see you soon.
