OK, my turn: Where is this?

It's my turn to try and stump the crowd. Can any one of you name the estero and the prominent mountain range?

Taken from a flight on Screaming Airlines!

David K guessed in a U2U and got the mountain range right! I only know the estero by the name on the map I have... Any more guesses?

Ensenada is close, but wrong side of the peninsula...

Which map do you have?

The name I gave you appears on two maps I looked at. The Mexican topo/Baja Almanac has two more esteros on either side of the one I named (which was the name used on the AAA map as well).

map

I have a map by someone named Jack Joyce copyright 2000, ITMB Publishing LTD. It's some sort of road map of the Peninsula.

The estero is called (on this map) Boca la Bolsa (Mouth of the Bag?!) and Esteros La Ramada

Ahhh, I kept thinking about 'Boca la Bolsa'... I do have harder ones. Maybe I'll have to try and stump David K!

Thanks for the fun... and yes, keep it going! The boca is the opening to the sea... boca = mouth of the estero (estuary, lagoon, swamp).

I will u2u answers and disqualify myself because I hope others will play along to further their knowledge of Baja geography. That's why I play 'Baja Spell Checker' sometimes... think I will again...
