You know you're in Baja when...

Saw this posted on FB earlier today, which gave me a chuckle. Anyone want to chime in with their own humor on this same theme?

You know you're in Baja when you see jumper cables stretching from a power pole to a casita.

Couldn't make it up the stairs. Guess I could sit in my car outside and pretend it's a "Drive In."

Nothing wrong with ginger ale. Dennis's turn a corner and doesn't drink anymore. Nothing wrong with that either.

Maybe he doesn't need to be reminded of drinking or Sharkey's?

Back to the original topic...you know you're in Baja when your McDonald's hamburger is made with pure, organic 100% Sonora Ranch beef.

You know you are in Baja when you have to put on the brakes and wait because a Mama Chicken is crossing the road followed by her Chickies.

When a telephone/powerpole is right in the middle of a driveway entrance,
or,
When, going up a sidewalk, a 6 inch step is followed by an 18 inch one. Tough on us old folks.

Welcome back in the fold Dennis. I missed you !

You know you're in Baja California when you whistle at the vegetable truck with loudspeaker blaring.
They turn into your driveway, shut off the motor, dig through vegetables and fruits to select the ones you want then help you carry your purchase into your home.

You know you're in small-town Baja California when the cops stand around eating ice-cream cones and the topic is 100% gossip.

You know you are in small-town Baja California, when it's obligatory to wish someone "Buenas.." on the sidewalk, and they stop to shake your hand.

You know you are in Baja California when you order a pescado dinner in a small restaurant, and a minute later a small girl comes running out of the kitchen then out the front door clutching a plastic bag and twenty peso banknote.

You know you are in Baja California when you overtake a belching pickup truck on the highway, marvel at the fact it has no fenders or tail lights then suddenly notice as you pass, it has no windshield. The driver is wiping his eyes.

You know you are in Baja California when you find yourself smiling at a moment's notice.

You know you are in Baja when; the biggest stresser of the day is where you will put all the fish you caught.
