Desert scene in La Bocana


every morning I take a walk along the dunes that parallel the ocean .... yesterday I took some photos of what I saw:







this is in an arroyo after the rain we had last week:





and another part of the arroyo:





and another view of the arroyo itself:








someone lost a sandal - seems so appropriate after Neal Armstrong just passed away:







and this is where I believe the cayotes sleep. I notice that there are always 2 holes - do they sleep in pairs ???? I have no idea.

the osprey ... well, one of the babies was the one we had to "save" because somehow it hurt its wing. It was one the ground ....it will never fly again. Right now ISABEAU is in Mulege being cared for by ML and in Sept., I understand it will return to la bocana and FEATHERS will be taking care of it.

The adults are around but I never seen them near the nest - but standing on other posts around the area.
