"Zetas" bloodiest cartel leader body stolen in Mexico

From San Diego Red

MEXICO.- "Mexican authorities confirmed today the stolen body of a man who died this past Sunday, during a gunfire confrontation with some Mexican Navy.

According to the initial analysis of prints and physiognomic features, it could be the body of the Zetas cartel leader Heriberto Lazcano.

An armed commando interrupted this past Monday a funeral home located in the town of Sabinas, and took the body and also the other body of the other criminal that was shot dead in Sunday's confrontation, announced today the state attorney of Coahuila, Homero Ramos, in a press conference that took place in city of Saltillo, capital of the northern state.

The Ministry of the Navy of Mexico had previously announced in a message, that "after searching in our fingerprints data base, and based on the thumb, index, and middle fingerprint taken from the right hand" of one of the bodies from the two criminals who died this past Sunday, it has been determined that it could be that of "El Lazca".

There was also "a photo analysis done of the criminal that was killed", that show "physiognomic features that match that of Heriberto Lazcano Lazcano", held the Navy.

"With the information and evidence collected during the autopsy that is required to be performed by law, there were also other tests conducted by experts" to confirm the identity of the stolen body, added the Navy.

A few minutes after the message from the Navy, the state attorney of Coahuila, Homero Ramos confirmed the theft bodies.

After submitting the staff of the Garcia funeral home on Monday, "a heavily armored masked commando took the bodies and removed them from the premises, put them into truck and forced the funeral home owner to drive the truck", he said.

The official also said that before the theft, some expert members of the state attorney services had taken "digital fingerprints of the dead bodies and pictures, to proceed with determining their identity".

Also "an autopsy was conducted to determine their cause of death", and also "a photographic analysis was a done, which came back with a positive match to the analysis some experts had previously conducted of Heriberto Lazcano Lazcano", he added.

The official also said that the body of the other presumed criminal that also died on Sunday is that of Mario Alberto Rodriguez, 44 years of age and resident of the city of Sabinas.

"Inside of his clothes, a driver's license was found", said Ramos, who also stated that the other dead body "did not have any kind of identification on him"."
