Browser translator plug-in, Firefox?

I've recently abandoned Google Chrome as it has been hanging up on me while loading. It wont even let me stop the loading process at times. It just sits there, grinding away, until I dump that tab or the whole application itself. This has been happening at any internet connection I use, so I dont think it's my Telmex wireless router or Telmex itself.

So, I have moved back to using Firefox, ver 16.0.1. I find it much better organized than the version I left when I switched to Chrome. And it hasnt been hanging up.

Anyway, one thing I am REALLY missing is a language translator like Chrome has. Chrome would automatically translate a page for me OR prompt me if I wanted it translated. Is there a plug-in for Firefox like this? If so, where?

I know it is the current rage to hate Microsoft but I think they are getting the message. I find IE9 to be greatly improved. I use Google translate in IE and since it is kind of a wiki the translations are pretty hip. Much better than Bing.

Well, that article IS about 5 years old. There's references to Firefox 4.0 in there, gnukid.

Come on, SearchDaddy, find me something more current. You're good at finding this kind of stuff.

The article is old but referenced two firefox browser translation addons that are updated and one that is not yet updated. Here's a direct link to make it EASIER for you, I use translation tools and so should everyone to make it possible to read articles in many languages and even communicate with with friends from around the word. Try them both and report back.

Try Babylon 9. Pretty easy to use, although I cannot vouch for its accuracy (else I wouldn't need it). It leaves a little button in the corner of Firefox- click when you need it.

Believe it or not......
Yesterday it was 15.0.1 !

I assumed that many of Firefox users have older versions.....
