MUSIC FESTIVAL A HIGHLIGHT THIS MONTH IN BAJA CALIFORNIA

From The San Diego Union Tribune

By ELEONORA FERRI BAJA.COM

Baja recovers slowly from the holidays. As a result, January brings only a few big events to the region, but they are among our favorites of the year.

The Todos Santos Music Festival is back with REM's Peter Buck among the established and emerging talents on the roster. At the same time the Lord of the Wind event in Los Barriles will bring top surfers to the East Cape for an epic showdown between kiteboarders and windsurfers.

Hundreds of other local events can be found on Baja.com. The following represent some of our favorite selections for January.

Note: Event dates and details are subject to sudden change and cancellation. Please confirm with the event organizers before booking your trip.

Cabo San Lucas

Whale watching

When: until mid-March

This time of year, whale watching in Cabo is a memorable experience. Rent a boat or just enjoy viewing them from the shore. Either way you will be treated to a unique show.
