Yes, but Landon never provided the copyright year of the two previous editions of the Baja Calif. Almanac. The last one was 2003 and the one before it was a two volume (norte and sur) and I think it came out in 1998?

The earlier and much larger 'Baja Topo Atlas' he produced did have dates and the first one was 1986 and the second one was 1991.

So, here they are with the approx. scale of detail:

1986 Baja Atlas scale: 1" = 1.75 miles
1991 Baja Atlas scale: 1" = 1.75 miles
1998(?) Baja Almanac scale: 1" = 4 miles
2003 Baja Almanac scale: 1" = 4 miles
2009 Baja Almanac scale: 1" = 5.5 miles

I sure wish I'd bought two copies when it was in print. I mark mine up quite a bit. Nerdy, but I wish I had a clean copy too!
