Any places to stay on the Bahia Concepcion, not camping?
Newbie here,
Trying to find a Hotel/Motel located on the Bahia Concepcion waters edge, unfortunately we can't camp and I'm having trouble
finding a place along this portion of the Baja. I've stumbled around with the Buenaventura but all info. found is 3 plus years old..... not even sure
if it is still in operation?

Just when are you planning to travel? That will make a big difference for responses.

Old people are like the old cars, made of some tough stuff. May show a little rust, but good as gold on the inside.

Welcome to the Nomad sandbox amigos...
Playa Naranjos has rustic cabins at the water's edge...I would bring my own bedding and like mcfez asked...what time of the year is important because
in summer it is extremely hot and cold in the winter...spring and fall are nice at Naranjos and they are very cheap but rustic.
Bob & Sue have gorgeous rooms on the water and a pool too...the lighthouse at Playa Frambes? I'm not sure of the name of it....chime in here BOB!
and there is a B&B just south of Santispac isnt there up on the hill? not sure what it is called either but I'm sure someone does...

there's not much on the bay...
i think the b and b on the hill closed
there is a hostle at posada
naranjos is clean but rustic and safe
the rest is all camping
our's is the Playa Frambes Lighthouse Resort

Baja4Life, I came late to your rental thread about the Bay. I lived there for 40 years and have covered the ground, so to speak.
You could also check VRBO (Mexico-Baja California Sur) and Baja Sur Craigslist for Mulege area.....you will find more to research, but surely not all.

Etc, etc.....
You have to look around to cover all the bases.
In the last few years of heavy development, there have been rentals available on Burros Beach, Playa Naranjos, Playa Buenaventura, and at the Posada
community, not to mention several at Pta. Chivato further north. Check bulletin boards at the Mulege laundromat plus the ad window at Saul's Market.
Always some notice for a town rental and you might find one for the Bay.
A couple of realtors in Mulege should be able to help you. Get in touch with Gary or Robin.

At Buenaventura, Mark and Olivia have a nice house, on the water, next to theirs, not connected with the hotel. Bajabuenaventura@hotmail.com
Mexico!! Where two can live as cheaply as one.....but it costs twice as much.....

In ND vernacular... you betcha. I've visited friends renting that house...and it is quite nice and has a killer view of the bay. Easy stroll to the
cafe and bar. Salud.

I hust had to throw that ( not for THIS person) out...I was outed by the guy when asking about driving down and he said taking to the off road was not
good for THIS person.. ME ..so I returned the shot. I have never been there, and he has know idea anything about me

our place is not for everyone...
and he does have a "new FJ Toyota. Fitted with all off road stuff"
or so he says...and that's a good 40k to play with
i'm just waiting for some pictures of his trip posted here
otherwise he's probably just another dreamer
in an office with a keyboard with several "log-on-names"
when he asked advice about a route and acomodations
i would be admiss not to point out a dangerous route
for a "regular" tourist
just because there is aline on a map doesnt
make it "drivable" for everyone

I used to love staying at Casa de los Sueños when Eileen ran it. Does anyone know - is it definitely not open anymore? I think I read that there was a
new owner somewhere, but can't find any info.

Casa de Suenos is still open.
It's owned by the McGuire family from Colorado, I believe.
It is managed by Patsi Hodges who lives in Coyote Bay.
