BABISURI Photos (anyone)?

Can anyone else share a photo of a Babisuri?

This was taken in 1999 on Isla San Jose by 'Alejandra de Baja'. Babusuris are a type of 'ring tailed cat' native to the Baja Sur Cortez islands. This one was made into a village pet after being caught invading a kitchen in one home.

what a beauty of a beast ... not only have I not seen one, I had never even heard of it. Big shame that it is tied up though ... can't procreate and make more mini babisuris that way ):

... the rest of the story:

It is tied up because Alejandra convinced the island village folks to not KILL it, and made it a pet (at least until Alejandra sailed away)!

The babisuri is considered a PEST on Isla San José and it was invading a kitchen when caught. Think raccoon or rat, if in the U.S..
