If it's under 50kb, you can attach it, just like the pics.

If it's a larger file, you need to upload it elsewhere, and then post a link to it at the alternate location.

Photobucket lets you upload video files to their servers and provide you with a link like the one below. During the upload they also save an image as a lead into the video. When you post this on nomads the image is displayed and if you click on that image it will bring up another window that plays your video. In my case it's an .MOV file and therefore can't be viewed from a PC (I think).

Still waiting to find out how to "attach" stuff from my PC. No instruction anywhere on site.

When you click on "New Topic" or "Reply" there are areas noted on the left for:

- Subject
- Icon
- Formatting
- Message
- Attachment

The attachment option is not available in every forum here.

Suggestion to Baja Nomad:
Perhaps you could put a menu item at the top of your page - beside Board Rules - with a link to a page that covers the instructions for uploading pictures, files, etc. This seems to be an item that comes up regularly on the Board.

I can't find one forum where the "attachment" option shows up.

Thank you. I agree.

Please reference the FAQ link above, where it addresses some "frequently asked questions" - including "Can I insert an attachment?" - which is the same board link I posted above.

I'm posting a screen capture of what I see using Chrome as a browser if I click on the "Post Reply" button (not the quick reply one at the bottom of the page). Firefox looks a little different, and I'd imagine so does Internet Explorer. Some use other browsers here - but I'm not familiar with what it looks like for them.

What browser and operating system are you using?

...and out of curiosity... which forums have you not looked in thus far?

Thx

Not everyone understands computer-speak, so I try using a step by step method using other words. Even then posting a photo here is still a challenge for some.
