When we arrive and set up boat we pull pins and drop wheels down into position where they stay for the duration of our trip, we then launch the boat using a long rope attached to the front ball on the truck. We do leave it attached to the ball and truck unless we are going to use the truck to go to town etc. It works well for launching off the beach infront of our house. Our new boat has two wheels & ball attached to a long pipe with a coupler on the truck end, have only used it once and after some modifications will work simular to the rope. If interested in the boat we are willing to discuss price. Connie
