Big swell hits Asuncion today

the baja surfers should be real stoked with this big a$$ swell that hit here today....here are some highlights from the blowhole...not a good day for fishing off the rocks! and abalone fishing has been suspended till further notice...the waves sound like a freight train coming!

Yeah, it is pumping here in Oceanside. This swell annihilated Tahiti last week.

Did somebody say Fiji and surf?

This is a long but epic video with unique perspectives. Anyone that has driven a small boat will pucker up at some of the footage.

Go ahead and watch it... its worth it

This video brings the sport to a whole new level, unbelievable!

I think the real crazies were the people in the boats with no floatation devises being worn.

Particularly the blue boat who was within a breath of capsizing backwards on one wave...his boat was completely airborne!
I do agree, also, about the lack of PFDs.

Shari, love your photos! Would love to hear the sound of water hitting those rocks... wow...

I drive up and down the coast to Laguna Niguel and back to San Diego every day, and the swells were very big here, too. 100's of surfers everywhere.

Oh, if I could only still get out there :o
