Monsoon finally arrived in Az. Got hit hard with a dust storm and a little rain. Rare gentle rain with no wind falling this morning.

It's gonna be a nice one today.

here and now:
70°
wind 0-5 NW
humidity.....93%

It's gonna be miserable at the border today. Heavy heavy traffic with heat and humidity.

81 degrees in the shade and 80% humidity...ewwww...very warm for Asuncion. A few scattered clouds but mostly sunny and humid with still a big swell. Hoping it goes down so we can get our fishing soon.

Weather related but not to the thread title....
I have read Weather for Dummies and lotsa stuff on-line but cannot find an answer to this question...I am sure someone here will have one or two for me.
Here in BCS we started our Mid august weather in early July, so, as others have said, we are about six weeks early into the 'season'.
My question is, does this mean that we may be out of it six weeks early or is it just lengthier than previous years? I now, weather forecasting is hit or miss but it is a constant topic for the next couple of months and I had this question.
AND, to fit into the thread, the weather in my 'hood is a lot cooler and dryer than the last few days. Not barely Sunday brunch time and the breezes are already starting to pick up. This oughta dry/cool things down even more. Really a beautiful day at the moment.

If the forecasters are right and it truly is an El Niņo year, all bets are off as to predicting length of "seasons" IMHO...

Finally those cumulus clouds bringing in the humidity have disappeared. Light breeze out of west. Cooling trend? Doubt it! Look at those warm sstemps out front in Pacific. Warm water from cabo up to Asuncion! Swell is pounding from Southern hemisphere. Coldie, anyone? Enjoy. Tio
