Another cool July here ... with overcast in the AM ... in July

Which for this area is somewhat out of place .. typically, it is June, with the June Doom and Gloom which some describe the month of June around here

I like the low clouds in the AM ... burning off by 11 ... keeps the temps down

Just looked .. Palm Springs is to be 104º today, average for the area 108º

Appears everyone is getting a break on high temps .. which is good

And btw .... .don't waste water

Mood: Let's have a BBQ!

[*] posted on 7-27-2014 at 11:27 AM

Out here at La Chorera, west of San Quintin it has been acting like it wants to rain since yesterday. Sun breaking through some swirling dark clouds, a few sprinkles, light wind in the 8-10mph range and some occasional thunder. Currently seeing rain out at San Martin Island, about 3½ miles offshore. Currently 70°F.

Weird day...

Can only hope that the warm water that is causing the fishing frenzy also leads to regular rain this winter. Today's little storm brought more lightning than I have seen in my 7 years around here.

All is quiet now.
