that pond in front of my house

Thee is a body of water to the East of my house.
Jerry Klink called it the Great Cortez Fish Trap.
Pancho King called it El Mar Vermejo.
Some guy called it SOC on the net the other day.

What do you call it?

Call me old fashioned, but it is the Gulf of California. When California's name was changed to Baja California they didn't screw with the gulf's name! Ray Cannon did more to increase the popularity of the romantic name: 'Sea of Cortez' than anyone. Jerry Klink's 'Mighty Cortez Fish Trap' gave Ray's sea name further validity. Cousteau called it the world's biggest aquarium, having over 800 varieties of sea life! However, 'Jimmy's Pond' works for me!!!
