Border crossing at Christmas?

My Mom wants to visit at Christmas. We want to know what crossing into TJ at San Ysidro will be like the day before Xmas and on Xmas day... YIKES:o
Anybody have any predictions based on past years?
She's trying to figure out which day to book her flight to the San Diego Airport. I'll have to cross to pick her up there and then cross back... argggg.
We love living here in Las Playas... wish we never had to cross but... it's Mom! LOL
Much advance thanks for any info!!!:bounce:

i saw on bajaexpo.com there is a link to "current border waits" or something similar. check it out now, before you need to cross, and if it is useful, start checking early on the day you need to cross.

Christmas travel

Thanks for the info guys. Yes, I know the border at TJ is chaos, but sometimes are worse than others and we've had a few surprises. We haven't been here at Christmas time yet, so I was just wondering if someone else had some experience with the border for this holiday.:)
