About the time I think I should give the Cap a little slack and that he probably does not really blow bubbles in his cereal milk, then he goes and makes a statement like this one. Please go back to blowing bubbles.

outboard tecs in baja

Pescador,,are you under the Illusion that there is a trained,,schooledl ,, fuel injection and electrical specialist with access to fast,,good parts,,special tools ( costly) and tech support that's only in English that works in Baja repairing,,servicing and diagnostic's on outboards..who also has SCAN tools and knows how to read the DLC (codes) and always helps the boat owner with prevention...I been in the shop many a time in La Paz & Loreto and its a Joke..I don't go to cabo any more but I'm sure its the same there .. funny, why do I see panga's being towed in all the time and also on the beach down (broken) or not running right.the work ethnics is ,,,,never mind...anyway his motor is a two stroke and a very good motor if was serviced properly..and from his pics I'd say yes he has his motor work done in the US.. I'll go back to making bubbles..Jeez !! get a grip !!...PS,, I don't see the local boys motor's lasting 1000's of hrs..now do Ya ??

Actually Capt. you are way off as you sometimes get. We have a local mechanic who has all the training in computerized fuel injection and a diagnostic system that is state of the art. So your generalizations are way off base. Also, the guys who handle all the Hondas and Yamahas for the Co-op at La Bocana has gone through extensive training. So your prejudice and unfounded put downs are way off base.

Second, for the boat being sold, which is what this is all about, you should notice that it is being powered by a two stroke carb motor, which the locals have been making run for years.

So, as usual, you missed the boat.

Yes he did, and is way out of date on most things....Our local mechanics are using laptops and factory supplied diagnostics..and if they get over their heads they say so..
