NEW---Campo de Golf "Docepiedras"

"Docepiedras" is a nine hole par three golf course that will open in the next three months.

This morning I received a call from my good friend Enrique Valenzuela, who built and designed the Baja Country Club and a few other courses in Mexico, and he invited me to join him and play the course.

This was the first time Enrique, or anyone else, has actually played the course so I was more than happy to play it. There were no holes on the greens so we played to the center of the green and didn't keep score.

Each green was designed after a famous hole such as courses like Pebble, PGA West, and Augusta.

I had a great time and the course is very nice with lots of bunkers.

Even though it's still February it must have been in the high 80ies out there so I can imagine what it will be like in summer. HOT-HOT AND more HOT…

The course is located in Guadalupe Valley about 10 miles north of Ensenada in the wine country.

I don't know what the green fees will be but it's a great venue and will add a lot to the valley and it's visitors.

I will let you know when it will be open...

Perfect.
I remember when the CC course was neglected years back and the cows would wander all over it eating what was left.
When it rained, they would walk up on the greens [is that where the ball goes into the little hole?] and every step they took would punch a hole into the surface.

Thanks for the preview, LL. Looks like the course is close to El Porvenir.

Hopeful on getting back into golf this year.
