Can't make it to Santa Barbara, but good luck. I'm going to try to tap a contact I have at San Juan Capisrano to see if they would be interested.

Thank you Nick, very kind! I am in Santa Barbara now. Max is being interviewed this afternoon. Weather great. We visited the museum and mission in
Ventura on the way here.

Follow-up...
The presentation was well received and I think we had about 70 people there. The most questions and interest were on the Baja missions. What is often
left out or not well covered is the way the missions were founded...
The including the Baja missions is what sets our book apart from all the other California mission books. We went through the 48 missions, showing maps
of their locations along with the photos... and (as you Nomads already know) the missions in Baja were the first California missions (#1-18) for 72
years. The next 30 missions were founded in both Baja and Alta California IN THE SAME YEARS... they all were California missions.
Once you see that 'Baja' was California first, San Diego was the 19th mission in California, and they were not built "one days journey apart from
south to north"... (the next mission founded was Carmelo, 400 miles away)
Anyway, a fun event with wine and snacks after... Max and I also visited the missions of La Purisima, Santa Ines, Santa Barbara, and Buenaventura.

I finally downloaded the photos I took last week, and may post them in the Non-Baja Trip forum... as they all were taken in Alta California.
The Santa Barbara Presidio chapel where the lecture and power point show was held.
One of the attendees at the lecture was Baja mission author, Edward Vernon...
