Excitement ~ Sometime the cormorants will push food right up on shore and then the game's on for everybody

Had a school of baitfish pushed into shallow water at low tide in front of Buenaventura a few years back. After the feeding melee was over, there were several dead birds with broken necks from diving at 'em in the rocks. Cold beers and burgers to watch the show with...

This isn't that unusual when the cormorants do their wolf pack maneuver on shore. Even now when there are few bait balls anymore the little shore fish of all flavors get stacked up for easy pickings. Seagulls will run along in front of the pack picking up the beach escapees.
