Scarves, of course if you wish, color of your choice.
Just no pedestrian coffee, unless you really like that swill in which case bring your own.

BajaBuddha's Crik Coffee sounds great. The touch of salt is great.

Mexican goat herders make "cafe talega" which is a cotton drip bag resembling a goat udder and top it off with a fresh-squeezed squirt of milk. Very nice and a taste of Old Baja in every sip.

Coffee-Coop Group, kinda katchy.

What an ease it is. Sitting here with my own cup, along with you and Mike!

Ask the good Captain when we'll see him again in Lopez.

Mulegena,
The scarf choice will be easy ...

I have a cotton drip bag...it works best when left in the coffee pot and grounds and water are added as needed throughout the day (as was explained to me by a ranchero)....grounds can't be too fine or the bag clogs up...

These days "pedestrian" coffee would be "to go"

My preference is a French press if possible....with a nice dark roast and cream....

I've got one of these. What you don't see is a nested drinking cup. Nice kit. Got it at REI.

Yes, those all-inclusive French-press drinking cups are da bomb.
Captain Mike needs to incorporate his Screaming Airlines logo.
Thanks, Baja Nomad Super Coffee Jefe Administrator.

Here's some pretty darned good info on coffee in 10 easy steps.
I 'specially like #1 and think it should be incorporated into the Nomad Coffee Coup Troop mission statement... I'll be seeing you.

Those green beans are crap. If somebody knows different, please speak up; I'd like to know.
First, they're picked too green, then not vacuum packed so they oxidize.
Thirdly, they need to be roasted which must be done slowly over an even heat with constant stirring. Can't be done in a frying pan on a stovetop. I've seen it done a couple times, and it kicks up such a stenchy smoke everybody runs out of the house even with the windows open. Coffee from those poor beans is beyond bitter-- it's burnt.

I learned to drink coffee -- and love it -- when I lived in Yelapa over on the Mainland in the middle of a coffee plantation. Picked ripe, shade-dried, roasted fresh... now that is coffee!

Scarfed or Scarfless, Coffee coop groop is the plan....Since Mulegena and I are almost neighbors, easy for us. ..We'll have to work on logistics for the rest of ya-all....I got pretty partial to Café Carmelizado for a while..Roasting green beans? Product was pretty iffy...best results I had was using an old fashioned corn popper, with hand crank and doing it outdoors to avoid the fumes....

Get a sock. Or take off the one you are wearing. Put into it a handful of beans. Crush the beans with the handle butt of your Colt .45. then throw the crushed beans into boiling water. When water is rolling strain through the sock into cup. Drink it black like a man. Now you may put the sock back on.

Tried that back several years ago, got so wound up and hyped I decided to take a 'run' at 5:15 in the morning, just before light. Couldn't slow down, ended up trying to hurdle a neighbors' fence and catching my foot, and a 4' drop impaled me on the radio antenna of my neighbor's Astro.

Ended up with a bad case of Van-Aerial disease....

Sowwy.........

I had that condition once. I've even had a bad case of Chirpies. It's a canarial disease and is untweetable.
