I will be visiting with Coco next Saturday. Anyone know if he needs anything?

He likes chocolate chip cookies, instant coffee, tomatoes, cucumbers, rice, and pinto beans. Let him know Tomas the Bandito has a new wheelchair for him and will deliver it in the next month or so. Wider seat and wheels.

I usually take him bottled water too, he can either drink it or sell it.

Great ideas. Thanks. I will definitely deliver the message. I will take what I can fit in my jeep.

To him I am. Believe it or not I got a call yesterday from the guy who broke his Tacoma pulling a trailer, he lives in La Paz. We had a nice chat some of which was about Coco. He wanted to do something for Coco since Coco helped him. His name is Dale and I'll be seeing him in Nov. at the Baja 1000, maybe bring Coco an early Chrismas present.

His Tacoma is shown here about a third of the way down.

Just passed through Friday and dropped some food and supplies. He said he was nearly out of food. Said we were sent from heaven. We let him know we would be back through on Monday and he requested we pick up some Coca Cola for him. Passed back through on Monday and dropped off a 12 pack. Heading out I didn't directly ask him what he needed but asked what he liked to eat. He said chicken.

I bought it on ebay here is the listing for the wheelchair. Could just print it out. It's wider than the one he now has 20 inches vs 18 inches. I've put the alternate wheels on and the chair sets an inch lower 17.5 inches vs 18.5 inches. I think his sets 19 inches from the ground. I'm taking all the original wheels etc to him. There is a 5 year warranty on the chair.

Also a pair of wider flat-free rear wheels thinking they may work better in the sand. Quickie Zippie Invacare Rear Wheels.

And a pair of wider front wheels.

Spent several hours with coco on Friday. He got choked up when he saw the picture of the new wheelchair. Might of even had a tear in his eye. He has had the same chair for 18 years. Good call on the cucumber. He loved them.

He also mentioned that he could use a 12x12 mosquito net to put over his bed. He sleeps outside and the mosquitos are eating him up. The master cylinder on his truck went out so his friend drove it to Ensenada with no brakes to fix it. He was supposed to be back in a week. It has been 2 weeks with no word from him.

Thanks. I've got a 14x10 military surplus mosquito net I can take him if it'll work. I'll be at his place on the 19th. I hope his friend is OK and didn't get into a wreck not having brakes. Last time I was there I gave him two Home Depot buckets with lids to store his cat food and gave him a big bag of cat food. Will take him more.

That net would work great. He sleeps on the bottom of a bunkbed.

To keep ants out of the cat food buckets, set in a pan of water (naturally must keep water in the pan, or spray the bottom of the bucket with ant spray of something else the ants will not cross.
