Not sure how far south it will work but it's working well here in San Juanico. Osiris and his team of installers are great - very helpful and professional. Super stoked to get rid of HN, too!

I'm not sure what is suppose to happen when you're FAP'd with Excede but I'm getting unbelievable speed. Only a couple times have I noticed near Hughes snail speed after going over the 10GB allotment.

I can not believe after having many years of experience with the other Sat provider in Baja that we finally have a decent system available. My late friend Wayne Davy got me started with my first system that I would hook up while here and then carry the modem back to Colorado to use there since I lived in a rural area. It makes me shudder to think about using dial up and waiting for 5 minutes for an e-mail to download. Then when I got really tired of talking to India or Malaysia or someplace for Tech support and nothing ever really got resolved. Then we tried purchasing a system that was resold through another company it was all a real frustrating and negative experience. So, with great expense, I hooked up to Infinitum by putting a parabolic antenna in another village and beaming the signal to my house. Because of the base connection, the service was basically unusable by 10 in the morning until after midnight because of being oversold. So I was skeptical when Bob and Susan hooked up with Exede but knew that he was very thorough and critical. So now I get a phone call within an hour of calling, I get someone on the phone who is polite and listens to my questions, I get an immediate response from the installer who comes when he says he is going to come, and the small issue that arose when it came to billing was easily settled. On top of that I get 21.57 download speed which is better than I had while in San Diego this month. So thank goodness for the guys at Excede and make sure you go to their Facebook page and give them a like. They certainly, in my mind, have done everything to deserve our congratulations.

Well.... my over use finally caught up with me. I got this pop up

...and the speed died...

and my mail won't load and photo bucket won't copy the IMG. I've rehooked to Hughes and although slow everything works. I'm hoping that later today Excede will speed up like it did when I first got fap'd.
more later...

....what will the future bring

I had to call Hughes for my 45 buck refund again...
im still waiting for them to "pay-up"

So I'm back after less than 2hrs. I unplugged the Excede modem for a short while and bypassed the wifi direct to the computer and did a speed test... again

I don't get it but I like it!

I'm sure that my router is working well. I am hardwired from Exede modem to my desktop most of the time so wifi is not an issue. I just went over and got FAP'd. Since Wed afternoon the Excede speed is dismal and have been using my Hughes on my wifi setup. I did a speed test this morning.
EXCEDE

Hughes

3 more days until my first month is up and then I hope to stay within my allotment. I've learned a lot this first month.

I had a Linksys router that worked fine with my other systems but when I got Exede hooked up I was only getting 5.6 -6.0 download speed. So I wired in direct with cable and it shot to 21.56 download. Guess I will need to get some kind of router for my iPad and iPhone.

Does this mean that the satellite coverage has changed to include all of Baja?

Bob and Susan a question: What APP or service do you use with Exede for you video phone calls. Seems that would be one if not the best benefit of high speed.
