And location in town. Although I guess there's not a lot of town to look around for it.

this is Terra Sal right at the entrance to GN on the right side of the road and it's beautiful, with a restaurant and office staff that speak english! You can park by the door of your room and every room has 2 king size beds for 550 pesos a night with good security too. We are working out a deal for my whale watching folks to stay there as there is ample parking, good wifi and new rooms. tell diane at the desk that shari sent you!

good news...I just called the hotel and the afternoon girl Anahli said YES they are pet friendly!!! I did suggest that they set aside special rooms for pets as some people are highly allergic to pets.

Shari,

Do you know if they have space for RV parking? We would book a room, if we could safely park our RV.

Thks for the info and all of the updates you provide.

I fund it curious that a town that basically lives for the short whale season, with the exception of those employed by the salt plant, can kep building new properties.

We stayed at Caracoles when it first opened. The owner, Raul, was once a honcho at the salt facilitiy. Unfortunately, at least when we last stopped there, no maintenance had been done since its opening. It has become long in the tooth.

Across the street Chevalo, if I have the name correct, built The Cowboy. He was a former panguero at the lagoon. He was adding on as recently as last year.

Just have to wonder how many rooms this town can afford.

$550 for two kings is not bad. I passed by in August an it said $600. I was solo, so i kept rolling right to the Don Juan Pasado. Don Juan is great, but you get what you pay for. Don Juan is the most secure hotel in GN.

do you mean la Posada de don Vicente? In my opinion, it is the most secure place in GN but the rooms are not exactly fancy...I stay there alot as the internet is great and the owners are personal friends and the parking lot is big...room for an RV no problema. A single is 350 pesos for a king bed and I think it is 400 for a double...and they have a pool and pretty good little store in the office.

Terra Sal says they have loads of parking space for an RV....they are sending me photos which I will post when I get them.

Wodd strikes again! More negative stuff wih again no basis in fact....Who are you to analyze what GN can or cannot support? Kinda like asking dumb questions about appliances on a house that you have no interest in buying...Turn on the TV......find something else to do....I welcome new business in GN.....

You are welcome. Guerrero Negro does well in the hotel department as it is midway on the peninsula...year round...not just in whale season when it is often full up at the Inn. Hotel Caracoles & Cowboy prove that nice rooms are in demand in GN as they fill up before the "economic" hotels do and they gave Malarrimo some much needed competition in the nice hotel department. The new Hotel Terra Sal is a welcome addition to GN in my opinion...I hope they have a good cook in the new restaurant!
