DK.

Hola. A quick road update.

Valle la Bocana. Blown out most of the way south. We were able to follow tacks for about 2/3 of the way down. From there it was navigation by imagination. We made it to San Pedro wash (?) and lost the track. We drove down a wash and realized it was going the wrong way. I hiked toward where I thought the road would be, found it, then hiked back to our tracks. It was blown out in several places. It would have been possible with our rigs to do it, but we decided to turn around not knowing what was ahead.

The trail from El Barril to San Miguel was blown out at a series of switch backs. Some body had home around but the track exceeded my comfort level. Again we were just getting started on this trail and didn't know the conditions ahead.

Last were the camp spots at the south end of Bahia San Rafael. Serious erosion. Turns out we made a wrong turn. The road was horrible, Mike was getting low on fuel, and the bugs were about the worst I have ever seen. So we retreated. We did stay on two beaches down there for three nights.

All of the main roads were in good shape and getting graded by several crews. Due to deep sand 4wd is recommended. Many culverts are washed out and there are bypasses.

I will do pics when I get home, including some photo spheres.

Please share.
