U2U inbox size limit has changed

The new U2U limit appears to be 600.

If it's telling that you can't send your U2U because your inbox is full, the magic number is 600. Delete them until you get below that level.

Or tell me if you need the limit raised - and to what.

Thx.

I deleted a bunch of old inbox and outbox and I think it worked.

oh crap...I wished I would have seen Doug's answer an hour ago...it took me that long to empty enough to answer Skipjacks U2U this morning...geezo.

The fun thing was looking back at some of our conversations when some of us first met! Some historical meetings there and great memories.I had a hard time deleting some of it for sentimental reasons...oh well, I guess it's good to clean out the closet once in awhile eh!

At the bottom, you can use the ` check all ` box, then uncheck the ones you want to save, if any.

I'll repeat: what # do you want the limit to be at.

Nobody's answered that yet. fyi.

Keep the message limit small and use the bandwidth / diskspace to increase photo size from 50 k to something useable like 500k??

I'm sorry. I thought you were offering to change each members limit individually.

1000 would be a good ceiling. 2000 would be better.

Just noticed that the upload image size limit went from 50K to 250K. That's great!

Raising the u2u limit to 2000, unless I hear of a need for more from others.

The attachment size was raised to 250k, and multiple attachments (up to 8) are possible on a single post.

I'm still working with this - and some errors/difficulties may be seen as I work out the quirks involved.

fyi

As I was cleaning out my u2u closet, I came across some old favorites from Nomads who have passed on. I've kept them over the years so I can go back and visit with them. It's fitting that this clean out was prompted on Thanksgiving day, as it reminded me of the baja friendships I have had over the years. I am thankful for having had the privilege to share campfire conversations with such an awesome and eclectic group of people.
Thank you Doug for increasing the limit, as I was still way over 600 after my first run at deleting.
Happy Thanksgiving,
P>*)))>{

How about when photos are posted that are wider than the Nomad 800 pixel limit... Is an automatic thumbnail sizer going in, like on other forums? You set the thumb to 800 or 640, and if anyone wants to see the original size they can click on it...

Perhaps in the future if using thumbnails.

A 800 ppx (long side) jpeg image usually saves at a very high quality at 250K. It should be over 80%. I don't think most people will be able to see the improvement above that. So in my opinion 250K is a very acceptable size limit for an uploaded image.

Doug, tonight my u2u froze... and I just erased a couple hundred and still I cannot answer a Nomad who asked me about Baja books or u2u YOU.

Thank you for fixing it when you can. I would like to read some of my u2u's, specially from Nomads who have passed away, before I delete anymore.
