we had a glorious gentle rain much of last night...damp ground, happy plants and clean cars! Looks like we are done with precipitation today and it is partly sunny now.

Raining throughout the day in LB and steady light rain since late afternoon. Expecting big wind from the SW due to a Pacific low around midnight tomorrow, so battening our fold-up structures down tomorrow! Cloudiest, rainiest season in past 5.

Steady light rain began again around 5 p.m. The desert smells wonderful. Overnight wind forecast significantly downgraded.

hmmm...looks like it might miss us from the satellite photo...maybe going inland a bit like the hurricanes but the sky was sure dark to the south at sunset. It was a glorious sunny, hot day today here in la la land...Asuncion!

Rain has continued to pound us overnight, along with some vivid lightning displays. There were a couple periods where it had to be raining 2 inches per hour. Those lasted for 15-30 minutes. I expect to see some significant flooding tomorrow.

This is easily the wettest winter storm since I have lived here. Very unusual to have a southern fed storm, this time of year.
