There was some kind of protest today at the Ensenada entrance, which is still closed. They were not real clear about what was going on, but I may have caused part of that by hollering "P-nche Huelga".

it was closed today. no opening date has been established and the "protesters" are still firmly routed at the entrance to the free road in Ensenada. but news article just now says "mañana" at noon.

According to friends who live by the Toll Booth, the road opened yesterday at 5pm. Keep our fingers crossed that it stays open.

Is it really open now? Not just news reports, but has anyone actually driven it after the grand reopening?

Toll road

Yes, Ray. It is really open.

An early Christmas present......use it while it is still there

Heavy rain in the area and apparently they will let big trucks continue to use the toll road......should make driving the free road an enjoyable experience

This is good news as I am headed down tomorrow with a good friend of mine to spend a few days in Ensenada.

I know, I said I was done, but I lied!...
