I'm looking for the ultimate place in Baja

I'm going to have 3 weeks in Baja right after Xmas. My two and a half year old son and my little dog will be traveling with me in my V.W. van. Does anybody have any sugestions on a place that meets this criteria: 1. I need a good/cheap dentist. 2. Pleasent environment, pref. beach front. 3. Need babysitter for dentist appts. 4. Cheap lodging near dentist, palapa with no elect./plumb. OK. 5. I don't want to go any futher south than Loreto. 6. Safe for child, no cliffs or typical Mexican two story buildings. 7. If there is an exceptional place in La Paz, I could swing it, but 3 weeks is not that much. 8. I have very little money, auto ins. gas and T.C. add up..............................P.S. I hope this board prospers....Thank you,,,,,Pack

To PACK O DERM

U2U is a private person to person messaging system. Look above (at the top, right corner of the page and you will see "logged in as packoderm" above it I think there should be a blue message that says "you have a U2U"(or something like that) click on that blue stuff and you will get your message.:)

Following Packoderms query

HI,
I too am looking for info on where to go. My husband and I and our 2 dogs will be driving down for about 10 days around new years. we do not need a dentist, but want cheap, lesser utilized, areas and ideas of what to see. We are both field biologists. any suggestions would be wonderful.
thanks
pamo:)

Pamo, here's an itinerary sample!

You guys will have a blast! The sea, desert, wilderness, good people, botony, geology, animals and insects! Day One to San Quintin (Cielito Lindo or Gypsy's at http://bajasi.com ). Day Two to Catavina and Santa Ynez area. Day Three and Four at Bahia de los Angeles ( http://www.campgecko.com ) see my last trip exploring there at http://davidksbaja.com/402 . Day 5 and 6 whale watching at Scammon's Lagoon ( http://www.malarrimo.com ) or at Laguna San Ignacio (see Ricardo at Rice and Beans, in San Ignacio town). Day 7 and 8 Santa Rosalia, Mulege and Bahia Concepcion!! Day 9 & 10 to get home. Got a few more days? Then see Loreto, San Javier, Magdalena Bay, La Paz, Todos Santos, finally Cabo San Lucas... or not Cabo, as it is not like the rest of Baja! My last trip the length of Baja: http://davidksbaja.com/baja15
