That link gave me a Microsoft page that said,
"We?re sorry, but there is no Microsoft.com Web page matching your entry. It is possible that you typed the address incorrectly, or that the page no
longer exists. You may wish to try another entry or to use the links below, which we hope will help provide you with the information you need."
Thanks for sharing your warning anyway.

Hey Hose A,
Do you have a fix for when your computer gets hijacked. My spyware nor my antivirus can get rid of it. Something hijacks your homepage and puts up
theirs and you can't get rid of itk

From the pageyou got Jeans, just follow the items /athome /security /software to the beta download. I yse Firefox and could not verify windows so
probably might work better using InternetExplorer for the process.

I HATE that!!!
My old computer had that. I had to be very quick to close IE right after it booted up or else I had to do the ctr/alt/del dance. It only happened
when I turned it on.
K & Bajalou, Thanks for the path...I knew it was there somewhere but was too lazy to go hunting
Bajalou....have you posted as Big Lou? The same guy who gave away music Cds a while back?

There are different fixes depending on which spyware program is hijacking your browser. If your anti-spyware program can not get rid of it, then you
may have to download a specific tool that will eliminate the problem, or in some severe instances editing the registry is necessary.
NOTE: some "Anti-Spyware" programs are themselves SPYWARE, so be careful which one you install on your system.
I have a computer page on my website, that might be of interest in this regard. I have encountered many such hijackings on lots of different systems,
so perhaps I could point you in the right direction of some specific removal instructions or tools.
Drop me an e-mail, or u2u me if you need to.

Sorry Jeans, BajaLou isn't Big Lou (at least for posting) I wish I had the talent he has. My musicle abilities barely make it to a radio olr CD
player.
I cleared about 7 programs that had infected something like 54 files and ??? registry items. Thanks for the link Hose A. I've been running a couple
of anti spy/ad ware programs and hope this keeps it clean.

That Merijn site is awesome! I just want to add this...I agree, turn off the Java, it helps intensely. BigFix is a helpful software too.....

Many are switching to the Firefox browser. Most of the spyware out there is developed especially for the Internet Explorer 6 browser, as a good
friend reminded me the other day.
Simply by using Firefox, you can eliminate a huge chunk of your problems.
