Anyone on this forum is invited. Please read the information on our clubs website
regarding this event. Get a CB radio installed in your vehicle, OR bring an FRS
radio in order that we can stay in communication while out on the trail.
So far, between 12-15 parties have expressed interest, but I would expect
somewhere around 9 or 10 parties to actually show up.

One party will be meeting us at the Laguna Salada and Hwy 2 on 4/1/05 @
11 a.m. sharp. The rest of us will stage in front of the Calexico Pep Boys on Imperial
Blvd. at 9:30 a.m. - departing at 10 a.m. Once again, please come prepared with enough gas and water for yourself and your occupants. We will be glad to have you along!

If this is the same Bajaxplorer who has a cameo role beside Coco in the soon to be released feature film, "Dust to Glory", you may want to have him along just so you can brag about hanging with him to the grandkids! :bounce::o

Here is Baja Xplorer (in the background with beard) at Viva Baja 4... In forground is Tim Walker (Tim's Baja) and Carlos Fiesta (BajaExpo)... Good to see you posting here Michael!

Thursday night plans in El Centro, CA

Several of us landed a great deal in El Centro, CA for Thursday night 3/31. We will be staying at the Vacation Inn in El Centro Thursday night. Here is who will be renting rooms at this locale:

Ken, Suzanne, Frida, TJ Cooke Silver '03 TJ Rubicon [lifted w/overhead lights]
Michael Hendrick Black '94 YJ [lifted w/overhead lights]
Billy Royal 'Ride-along'
+ possibly Andrew Simpkins Grey '86 CJ-7 [lifted w/36" TSL Swampers & aluminum beadlocks] & stock White '01 Silverado (tow rig).

If anyone is staying Thursday night in El Centro, we can get together and visit possibly over dinner - our rooms have a kitchenette or we can go out for a burger. Just give us a call on my cell phone - we plan to arrive in El Centro just before the dinner hr.

Friday morning, our plan is to park the tow rig at Calexico Parking on 4/1 at around 7 a.m. before meeting everyone at the Pep Boys parking lot at around 8:45 a.m. If anyone will need to reach our party, my cell phone will be turned on. My cell # is: (951) 255-1589. It is likely that all three of our Jeeps will be traveling together from the Parking complex Friday morning. We will be monitoring CB CH 4, so give us a call if you see us on the road traveling together.

SEE YOU THERE FRIDAY MORNING == WOO HOO!:):cool:

Lots of suspension work to do to Andrew's Jeep - he's driving out from San Jose tomorrow morning. Mine has some minor suspension modification work to be done for the swaybar disconnect system.

No further messages. I'll post a nice thorough trip summary in the next week...

Baja awaits...:bounce:
