SEARCHING FOR MELCHIOR DIAZ 1541, Baja Bound Article

Baja Nomad members TMW, Frigatebird, fernweh, 4x4abc, PaulW (a week earlier), and I did some searching in the desert hills northwest of San Felipe for a 1541 grave of a Spanish explorer, with the Coronado expedition. This was following our 4WD weekend trip on the 1942 Pole Line Road... featured in last month's Baja Bound newsletter: http://www.bajabound.com/bajaadventures/bajatravel/pole_line...

Enjoy the Melchior Diaz story and our search in three canyons for a "pile of rocks": http://www.bajabound.com/bajaadventures/bajatravel/searching...

You mean the year was 1541!

That's a relief, I was thinking 1541 was the bib number of the latest off road racer to not make it home from the post race party!

Cancel the Facebook search!

Edit; Also, it was an interesting read.

If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space!

"Could do better if he tried!" Report card comments from most of my grade school teachers. Sadly, still true!
