weekly bi-weekly payments


We are just about ready to start our build. What bank is in Los Barrilles , I forget, does it have on line banking avalible where I could transfer funds from that account to another account at that same or different bank in baja mexico in order to pay for the project as it goes along.

Bancomer. I have done wire transfers to them and deposited US personal checks. I have not tried to use any online stuff with them.

2 recommendations

1. Put the social security in your name not the builders

builders will hold you hostage at the end for your letter of liberation
if it is in your name you can verify payments as your house is progressing

2. Don't pay your contractor more than 20% to get started and don't let them talk you into extra draws during the process.

Spanish for the barrels is 'los barriles'


It ranks right up there with Guerrero Negro, Puertecitos, and Alfonsina's as one of the most misspelled place names in Baja! Only one L (two make a y sound): Barriles

I love my bancomer online banking and pay most things with it, power, phone, cell, contractors, building supplies etc. I opened a US dollar account to put dollars in then you can transfer pesos to your normal peso account when convenient.
