What airlines fly from Tijuana to Loreto and on what days? This will be a quick 4-5 day trip. Thanks

Thanks, looked at their site which doesn't seem to work in English so well but you go to the Mexi version then the flights & pricing come up.

Fudscrud, Since you got an answer, I hope you don't mind a bit of a hijack. Do you (or anyone else) know if a passport is required to fly from one MX airport to another?

Specifically, I was wondering if one can use the passport card for obtaining an FMM, and use it for air travel from TJ to Loreto or SJD?

I flew from TJ to Loreto a couple of months ago and they did ask for a passport at check-in, but I think it was only for ID purposes. I don't think a passport would be required for in country travel. Probably another form of id would be fine.

In on Sunday, out on Thursday= no problema:)

After entering your desired departure and return dates and hitting the search button, the English site will come up with an error page. The Mex page works fine (the little Mexican flag in the lower corner).

AK Gringo-If you are flying to a border town from central Mexico they will ask for your visa and on occasion they will ask for your passport. If you are flying anywhere else you don't need to show anything.

Nchampion and LL, thanks for the input! Since the link to Calafia was posted, their site indicates that proof of ID should be enough to board, but I will still need FMMs.

I have a passport, but I have offered to pay for passports for four grandchildren and two adults. The passport cards might be better for the kids, and would save me a few bucks besides.

I am just considering options, flying them from AK to Loreto, or AK to San Diego and walk or drive across.

Technically, one doesn't need a passport if he doesn't cross the border.
BUT.. you are a gringo. You've just crossed the border. Therefore - you must have a tourist card FMM and stamp in a passport. You are leaving the border zone, therefore you are not exempt from FMM and stamp. You might be never asked to produce that FMM later, but technically you must have it. This is the law.

Can they put a stamp in a "passport card" - I don't know, never had this card, I always carry a passport.

Are their no flights anymore from TJ to Loreto? I can't seem to find any on the websites or TJ airport flight destinations.

I always use my passport card to get FMMs, driving south at San Ysidro. There is no stamp involved. I don't know if airports accept the card though.
