Is Mexico now allowing light sport aircraft to fly into the country?

Thanks.

Considered bringing a ultra light (Trike) down and flying from the beach in Pescadero. Uncle Tom would have objected even though he wouldn't be in my flight path. I was told I would need permission to fly in MX airspace from the Jefe at the La Paz airport.

I know one gringo (now national) who flaunts the rules taking off and landing on the Pedrito beach.

I'm not a national so wouldn't risk losing my craft. Play it safe, get permission if you need it. Includes filing a flight plan.
