Dog is good if you have one
what if you do not have one?

It takes less than 1 minute to screew the door shut.
I payd 25 cent for a drywall screw, and $1 for a cheap screw driver.
Not impenetrable, but something

I can leave it behind when the plane takes me home.
I have seen few dogs at the airport though.

Chrisx,
You are an idiot.

P.s. If I was the inn keeper, and you were damaging my hotel by putting screw holes in the door frames, I would beat you with an expanding metal baton, then charge you for the damage (door frame damage and blood stain cleaning), then beat you again just for the fun of it.

A drywall screw? I honestly thought the guy was kidding. Apparently not.

Only a Scientologist would be against security
Did the Scientologists torture you into having a split personality, and make you do their typing for them?

this is why people abandon baja nomads forum, it is to much to suffer through.
Because of the high concentration of criminals on this forum, I asked about security. Nomads suffer the most, therefor they need more security.
So; how do you secure a hotel room door during the night?

I've traveled the world with this one. It's chrome looking. One end slips into the lock hole. It's very thin. Then close the door, and slide a ratchet type devise up against the door. Solid as you can get for security. I'd contact a locksmith shop in your residence area. They either will have them or can order for you. I've seen them in sort of a brass color also. Works great on Alfonsino's motel doors for sure.
