First Bug of the 2015-16 Alta California Season

Lobster season opened at 12 midnight, we hit the water at 12:00:01am, and found this guy at 12:05am

10 minutes to get it out of its hole, 5 minutes rolling around on the bottom to subdue(lots of surge), and another 10 minutes trying to get my gear unsnarled enough to bag him before I realized.. he aint gonna fit in the goody bag!

It was my nephews first night scuba dives and first lobster hunting dives, he did great and came back with his own dinner.

Maybe alert Doug to see if his software is seeing a word that is nasty in Spanish in the image code. and changing it when posting here??? There should be no *** in the IMG code, it isn't there on Photobucket.

Until then people can go to you album and click on the photo to enlarge it.

I think this is a north of the boarded bug. Scuba and gringo's and lobsters don't mix well south of the border.

Big bug for sure but if you look closely it is much closer to the camera than Bwana_John, he's holding it out.
