Heading to La Bocana Oct. 27 - trip report

If you see the tip of a head in a white Suzuki, please honk and say Hi!

tomorrow I head south and it is always an adventure.

sure wish there was someone going with me but I don't even have room for a pin, much less a passenger.

If I get tired, I will be spending the night in San Quintin....

The new used car is going to be Baja tested tomorrow.....if you see a Baja Blanca by the side of the road ... SAVE ME!

all is well. the worst part are the huge and plentiful potholes south of catavinya.

My new (used) car has definitely earned the nickname BLANCAMOBILE"

It hates hills unless it gets a free jump start.....umhm.....sure.

went thru secondary xray - a breeze. and I have no idea why the interviewer only asked a few questions.

the trip went perfectly. there is no roadwork except one tiny stretch which is about a 5 min delay.

the roads are all great all the way to Vizcaino - where I am breakfasting before I do the last stretch to La Bocana.

I stayed at the cowboy hotel overnight in G Negro. My room had no air conditioning but had a fan that could have been an airplane - it really cranks out that air.

there is a dangerous step from the bathroom to the bedroom. I almost tripped twice.....until I put a blanket on the floor so I would not forget.

400 pesos single and 450 double

large enough room and those blackout curtains did the trick for me!
