Choral Pepper, in December 2015 Baja Bound Magazine

Choral Pepper was editor of Desert Magazine during the 1960's, traveled on some of the famous Erle Stanley Gardner Expeditions, discovered giant cave art seen only by helicopter or mountain goats toady, found two 'lost' missions, and wrote many books including very popular ones about Baja's missions and the Desert Southwest.

David, I appreciate you posting Baja's history from time to time. I wish I could have met Choral Pepper. I read DESERT magazine as a kid and here she ends up a neighbor of mine and I didn't even know it! Thanks.

Her condo was high up and looked south down the strand to Baja... That had to be intentional!

I just had email exchanges today with both her kids, they are doing well.
