Getting to Baja

Anyone know of any cheap flights to Loreto?
I'm trying to get to Lopez Mateos during any given weekend in February.
The flights I keep finding are outrageous at $500!!!
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!!

LAX to Loreto Roundtrip

Yesterday, I booked Alaska Airlines with a Sunday-Thursday pattern for $292 round trip online. The week before, I booked Aero California for $272 with a Saturday to Saturday pattern. Both flights are in the first week of March.

Details

Woops I forgot the little details.
I'm leaving from Los Angeles.

I found a flight to Cabo for $195, but that means that I'd have to drive to Lopez. Then, I think the money that I would save on the flight would be spent on renting the car and gas.

I tried with Alaska Airlines but it seems they don't fly from Los Angeles to Loreto. I think I'll check with AeroCalifornia.

And yes I'm quite sure that flying with Capt. Mike would be whole lote more fun! But the details might not allow me to fly with him.

Thanks for all the ideas and info!!!!

Alaska Airlines is definitely flying between Los Angeles and Loreto -- I'm booked for later this year. Their flights are Sundays and Thursdays and don't begin until February. Everyone has their own preferences, but I'd rather fly Alaska Airlines than drive from La Paz or fly on AeroCalifornia.

Alaska

Yes, I have found out that their flights from Los Angeles to Loreto begin at the end of February.
However, I need to be there sooner... Hawaii is expecting me early March... can't get away from work that much ;)

Alaska Flights

My Alaska Airlines newsletter says their flights to Loreto begin Feb. 17. They fly there/back on Thursday/Sunday only.
