Soon! :light:

I will announce it Jack... and this is a big NOMAD project indeed!
Your many photos in the book, along with mine, are also accompanied by photos from other Nomads. The book has been vigorously copy-edited by a published Nomad and other Nomad writers have read it, the cover was designed by a Nomad. Three reviews are on the back cover, all written by Nomads. Dr. Robert Jackson (author of many mission history books) told me it looks good... he is 'academicanarchist' here.

'Baja California Land of Missions' is so much more detailed on the Baja missions than what we had room for in 'The Old Missions of Baja & Alta California', plus this is my work whereas The Old Missions was Max's work with my data and input on the Baja missions.

So much has been written about the Alta California missions, but nothing new has been produced about all the Baja missions for over 13 years. No book has ever been produced that provides all the Baja mission details this one has, many never published in a book before, especially an English language book.

When? I am hoping within two weeks. I am just trying to make sure it is as professional looking as possible so you all can enjoy it and it will be respected as a reference source on the missions for many years to come.

David--------I am very excited about this new book of yours, and it certainly will fill a badly needed vacancy in the history of the old Baja CA Missions. Congratulations! I can just guess how many days, weeks, and months and LOVE went into the research-gathering and transferring it to script, and look forward to reading it cover to cover.

Well done!!!

Oh, you know it Barry!

This will be the first 'all 27' Baja missions book since 2002's Las Misiones Antiguas by Ed Vernon and 2003's Saints and Demons in a Desert Wilderness by Dave Werschkul.

A lifetime of interest, the past three years of acquiring and collecting data I did not already have (including the complete Dawson collection), the past year of data entry and rewriting and organizing... and some great Nomad assistance the past couple of months to help me make this look professional and read clearly.
I actually just did some edits on it tonight... funny how you miss accent marks!
I think the first printing will be this next week. I will make an announcement and an ad in the classified forum. I did not want to solicit sales before the book was published and could be mailed to all of you.
I am very proud of it, it is going to be very useful and easy to use as well as interesting. As a Baja book collector and mission fan, I can't wait to have it! LOL
