La Paz This Weekend

Found a last minute opportunity to on Aero Cal from Lax to La Paz r/t 274.00 (a week earlier the same flights were ~400.00). Wife and I are taking another trek down to survey and confirm areas in La Paz and the greater area that we may wish to purchase a place and or piece of mother earth in.

So here are the questions:

Anyone know of more of a 'local' real estate professional? We have found down in La Paz an further south there are those that leave an impression that we are going to be their retirement commission:) and only want to share those properties focused on those that may not have done enough homework.

Anyone have insight on anything either in town on the malecon or out of town preferably 'on' the water within 45 minutes of the malecon?

Tracey and I plan to stay (no room yet) at the Los Arcos. Leave us a message at the hotel if you are in the area and would enjoy having a cold drink one evening with other Nomads. Tim

Check out paradiseofthesea.com. It has info on a large develpment just south of LaPaz. There has been discussion on this and other boards about whether this is really a legitimate project, but if you are there you can check it out for yoursel.f

Dates of Carnival in La Paz

As indicated on another thread, Carnival in La Paz is February 15 - 20 due to the elections. The parades are the 18, 19, and 20th of Feb. This is what is published on posters around town and stated by the Carnaval office in La Paz. Nevertheless, we'll be here for this wonderful Mexican fiesta. Wouldn't miss it.
