I met that dog mugging for the close up! I was there with my dog in the late afternoon two years ago, and met a fisherman who owns one of the palapa's in the background.

After sharing information about the road, he offered the use of the palapa for that night. That Boxer mix (not the fisherman's dog) became part of my pack until we left the next day. He loves gringo dog food!

The "huge" point between Mulege and Loreto is called Punta Pulpito.

The "nice bay" is San Juanico or San Basilio.
