Motorcyclist going north from La Paz mid-October, hoping to join other bikes or cars

I may be riding south with a group in early October, but they will be staying behind. That would leave me riding back north from La Paz to TJ (and back into CA) on my own. I'm not sure how I feel about traveling that far solo - I generally prefer to travel with at least one other rider even in the US, just in case there's a problem. Seems even more prudent in Baja. I would be interested in joining other motorcyclists or folks traveling on 4 wheels, provided we have similar habits - no travel in the dark, moderate speeds and distances per day.

Experience: driven in Baja several times, as far south as San Quentin but mostly between TJ and Ensenada. Passable but rusty Spanish, improves quickly after a day or so. Lots of experience traveling by moto in US.

Vehicle: riding a V-Strom 650, sticking to pavement, good dirt roads if necessary. Will be equipped for camping, but prefer to sleep in a real bed every couple days to reduce fatigue.

Timeline: not exactly sure, may have a couple of days flexibility, probably 2nd or 3rd week of October.

Any tips/advice/connections would also be appreciated.
