I'll second Fernando. I bought a reconditioned 1985 40hp Evinrude from him about 4 years ago and it runs great. Nice guy, works out of his garage.

how are you getting your motor back across south? don't they hassle you thinking you're going to sell it if the boat isn't attached?

As I posted when it happened, I was turned around at San Ysidro when I thought I'd be a good boy and declare the used outboard in my trunk planning on paying some kind of fee to bring it in. Nope, was told to take it to Otay during business hours M-F to import it and they sent me back to the USA.

It was a Sunday so I drove to Tecate and got the green light.
