You forgot to measure your tire tracks in the sand and the relative distance to the palms when aired up and aired down. |
Au contraire, I did that measurement, and the universal gas law, PV=nRT, states that if in fact there was global atmospheric warming the pressure on
the outside of the tire would require less of an inflationary differential depending upon the diameter of each grain of sand and the moisture content
per cubic centimeter of the sand beneath the tire. I found neither. Global warming is a lie made by those that want to raise your taxes. Be afraid,
very afraid. Vote Trump. |
Only counts if you take pictures. We all know that such scientific measures are lies.

Just drives you crazy that there are photos of that palm over 60 years ago that permits anyone to see the ocean is no higher today than it was in the
1950s.
Pretty hard to push your 'big government knows best agenda' when the people can use their own eyes to see the truth.

David, you're welcome to your opinion. But this has nothing to do with Big Government.
Big science and big business are in agreement about climate change. That might not mean they are correct but I'm guessing they might know a little
more than you do

I don't have a palm tree in this fight.I believe that 1 out of 4 countries is better than 0 out of 4 countries, in the possible fix of the problem. We
should do something. Here is another CO2 generating log on the fire.

The USA has 5% of worlds population,
And USA uses 25% of worlds annual energy consumption
And the USA emits 15% of worlds greenhouse gasses
The USA (and some other countries like China) are the largest share of the problem, it is about time the USA start solving the problem that the USA is
driving!
The GOP are bad global citizens, and the GOP politicians that deny global warming are owned by the petroleum/energy industry!
Bernie is right, the 1% money needs be removed from politics!

We all know many things and different things.
I know I don't need some government, 3,000 miles away telling me what's best where I live. I grew up and don't need a nanny.
I know that a palm tree does not uproot itself and move.
I know that if a palm tree on a beach is a foot higher than the sea in 1953 and a still foot higher in 2016, the sea level has not changed enough to
matter to anyone.
I know that to scare money out of taxpayers pockets, politicians will lie and say it is our doing and only with more money and power can this
'terrible sea level rising' or 'man-made' climate change be reversed! They can spend every cent made, and that will not make any difference in the
natural changes this planet has ALWAYS had, man or no man. The ocean used to be a lot higher and it may be higher again, but we can't change that from
happening. It sure hasn't happened in any of our lives.

Good Lord. Your right to what? It defies common sense that someone would say we do not influence what happens on this Earth.

" It defies common sense that someone would say we do not influence what happens on this Earth."
Reading 101: I didn't say that.
What I did try to convey:
Man has not caused sea levels to rise or can reverse the natural changes that happen on earth.
Now, when certain volcanoes erupt, then you can get a tiny amount of climate change as we have recorded.
Nature bats last, they say!

It's almost humorous, if it wasn't so sad... People ranting about losing their rights..When asked to get specific, about a particular right they have
personally lost, they come up dry..And as re climate change and water problems? Of course we affect them....Anyone who dismisses that is looney....Can
we fix it? beats the poop out of me....I don't like big gummint...BUT it is what it is....We have to try to change THAT....

I opened this thread to see what was going on with the weather round the baja. I see it's just the same old useless twaddle. We just got back from
Cali y Nevada. We can report that aside from the coast, California y Nevada are much hotter than La Paz. Everyone asked us how we can stand the hot
weather in Mexico. We tell them we just suffer through. Trip report to follow as if anyone cares.

Uh... weebray.... don't take this personally, but you're ALMOST as confused as DK... motoged opened this thread fishin' and a big chub sucker took the
bait; now the fun begins. I think you should look for whatever thread you started to find and duck on the way out; the fecal material is striking the
rotary oscillator now... and it's SOS, DD. Oh, and love to hear your trip report for some diversional reading.

Let's throw out some more bait.
"The village, with its 650 residents, mostly members of the Inupiat Inuit tribe, would be the first in the United States to relocate because of global
warming-induced sea level rise. The effects of climate change on the island are considered among the most dramatic in the world."

That's true. As palm trees age they get heavier and sink into the ground (don't we all). The sinking pushes up the surrounding ground causing it to be
a barrier to rising sea levels. I'm going to plant some on the beach near my house, just as a precaution.

I tried here in Baja, NM..... but had the same luck with Palms as I had with raising baby chickens; lost 'em all. Either planting too deep, or too
far apart....
