UBER Mexico City

Hi Nomads,

Has anyone recently been to Mexico City that can share any comments on UBER vs Regular Taxi in this city?

My family and I are leaving for a two week loop adventure in central Mexico (CdMx-Hgo-Qro-Pue-Ver-Pue-Tlax-Mor-CdMx)...

...next mid September and will appreciate any help.

I've rented a car at the Mexico City airport for the trip but plan to return it to the rental agency at our return to CdMx and use a taxi instead of driving during our stay in the city; we'll be staying in CdMX (Mexico City) on the last leg of our trip for five nights, we'll be staying right in the middle of the Centro Histórico at the Ritz.

I'll certainly will be posting a graphic trip report of this adventure: I've never been to the Gulf area before.

Any comments or recommendations for the city or along the route are greatly appreciated.

Thanks...!!! :bounce:

Uber in DF is fantastic; it is really cheap, efficient and safe. The GPS function of the app is sometimes a little shaky because of the buildings and presumably all of the people using the network there but otherwise it's great. No more having to call a sitio cab & waiting for it to arrive (you can't hail a cab on the street; it isn't safe). We also use the subway in DF because it is also very fast, cheap and safe. It can get very crowded during rush hour so be aware of that; but the trains are very frequent & the network is extensive. Enjoy your trip!
